Skills Covered: This course covers the following:

Chap 1- Navigating the Xactimate Dashboard, following the Xactimate 4-Step Estimating Process; entering claim information, downloading Xactimate price lists, creating company headers, and transferring data files; creating first estimates from start to finish.

Chap 2- Navigating the Sketch page, setting up Sketch Views, dimensioning rooms, and accessing room properties; changing room shapes, creating subgroups, building staircases, and adding wall openings; using basic room variables and following Sketch hints.

Chap 3- Navigating the Estimate Items page and Grouping Pane, utilizing multiple search methods; exploring the Items List, utilizing the Quick Entry pad, understanding Quick Entry fields, and utilizing Item Information details.

Chap 4- Navigating the Complete page, running the Inspect tool, correcting audit errors, and marking estimate complete; accessing the Documents page, creating, viewing, printing, and exporting reports; practicing interior estimates.

Chap 5- Understanding roof Sketch views, measurements, locks, and annotations; utilizing the Roof tool to dimension roofs in Sketch, accessing roof properties; changing roof shapes, drawing overbuilds and tie-ins; practicing roof estimates.

Requirements: Have Xactimate installed and running on your PC laptop PRIOR to the first day of class (see Xactimate system requirements). Proficient use of a PC, including Windows 10/11 operating system, Chrome or Edge browsers, Microsoft Office or Google Docs office apps.
