Summary: The purpose of this class is to help intermediate level students prepare for the Xactimate Level 2 Certification Exam. 

Objective: In this class, students use a mock exam to step through the exam process. It provides a similar real exam experience. This mock exam is not intended to be completed during class time.

1) Practical Lab: Students will prepare two sketch and scope estimates, one consisting of a challenging interior diagram and the other consisting of an equally challenging roof diagram. Line items are added to each estimate. Upon completion, students will use these estimates to answer questions on the exam. 

2) Practical Exam: Students will start a timer to begin the first part of the exam by answering 35 questions based on the estimates created in the practical lab.

3) Knowledge Exam: Students will continue in the timed portion of the exam by answering 35 questions about their knowledge of Xactimate, as found in the Xactimate Level 1 workbook.

At the completion of the exam, students will stop the timer and mark how long it took to complete the exam. The total allocated time is 3 hours. Students will grade their work from the answers found at the back of the workbook. 

A cumulative score of 70% is required to pass the certification exam. Students who score in the 90 percentile on the mock exam typically do well on the real exam.
